eBay UK: Sell: 1st Time Seller Week

Everyone's got something to sell, whether you're clearing out the attic or aiming to make a living - and you'd be surprised how much your unwanted items could sell for! Listing them on eBay.co.uk is easy and to get you started this week we'll refund the basic insertion fees on your first 10 listings!

Important Information: This promotion involves a recredit. Therefore new sellers will be charged insertion fees at the current applicable rate, which will be refunded later. This refund will take place no later than October 11th 2004

User accounts which become payable before October 11th 2004 will require settlement whether or not the re-credit has taken place. The fee will then be re-credited to their eBay account by October 11th 2004.

1st Time Sellers will be recredited all basic insertion fees up to a maximum of 10 listings, during the promotional period.

Between Monday 6th September 0:00:01 and Sunday 12th September 23:59:59 BST.

Applies to all users who registered before 3rd September 2004 23:59:59 BST, and
have not listed at all before that time

Users can list up to 10 items for sale during the week and will be re-credited the
insertion fee on each

All basic insertion fee levels are included. All other eBay fees, including but not limited
to feature fees such as Gallery, Bold, Reserve Price, Featured, Buy it Now or Final
Value fees will still apply.

Listing in 2 categories is included

All categories are included, including Motors & Real Estate

Auction, Auction + Buy It Now ("BIN"), BIN only are included

Dutch (multiple items) are excluded

All Shop Items are Excluded

If these users lists an 11th item during the promotion week, that listing and beyond will NOT be included

If the user lists between 1 and 9 items during the promotion week, but lists additional items after the promotion week, the
additional listing will NOT be included

All users who have previously listed or sold items on any of the eBay sites worldwide will be excluded

Users will be charged at the time of listing and will see the charge on the Sell Your Item and Account Status. This will be credited by October 11th. The memo on qualifying items will read "1st Time Seller Week Credit". All other listing fees apply as normal.

If you list an Auction format with Buy It Now as an additional feature, please note that the auction item will qualify for the free basic eBay insertion fee if the above conditions are met. However, please be aware that the feature fee for using the BIN feature itself will still be charged.

If any item qualifying for this promotion closes without a sale and is relisted afterwards, the seller will qualify for a relist credit if the relisted item sells successfully.

You can list your item in a maximum of two different categories and still qualify for this promotion if the above criteria are met.

How to Offer PayPal in your eBay Listings
When listing in eBay's Sell Your Item form, select PayPal as a payment option under section 4 - "payments and postage". Follow these steps:
1. Go to the "Seller - Accepted Payment Methods" section
2. Tick the box under the PayPal logo and enter the email address registered with your PayPal account in the "payment
will go to" box
3. Go to the bottom of the "Seller - Accepted Payment Methods" section and click "Edit Payment Address and Preferences"
4. Log in to your account again to view the "Payment Preferences" page

Under "PayPal Preferences", there are two tickboxes:
"Offer PayPal on all my listings"

5. "Tell my buyers that I prefer PayPal payments"
6. Tips: You may tick both options. The selected message(s) will appear automatically in all your listings
7. Click Submit and continue with the Sell Your Item form.
