If you've always wanted to try selling on eBay, now's the perfect time. Our research has shown that almost everyone has something to sell, with the average person having unwanted goods worth over £100. Unlock the value in your cupboards, empty out the attic or clear out the garage. Sign up and sell and we'll refund the cost of your basic listing fee for your first 10 items.

From listing your item to getting paid, here are a few simple steps to help you sell your items successfully.

Nothing is too big or small to sell on eBay. Other sellers have sold cars, mobiles, computers, clothes & accessories, collectables, video games, books, music & much more!

You will be asked to provide credit or debit card & bank account details - this is for verification purposes only. Sign up today!

If you experience difficulties we recommend you try using a different payment card or contacting our Customer Support team for assistance.

Always remember to include a picture of your item - you are much more likely to sell it successfully. Remember, if there are scratches or marks on the item; make sure you show them clearly! Buyers like to know what condition the item is in.

Write a clear description of your item
Include details of the condition, whether it's new, branded, size, dimensions etc. If you're not sure what to include, look at our Completed Items Search to see how other sellers have described their items. (To use Completed Items Search, go to Advanced Search, type in what you're looking for and check the Completed Items Only Item Type box).

Be realistic about your Start Price
Set your start price as low as possible - this encourages buyers to bid if they think they have a realistic chance of winning.

Avoid using a Reserve Price
Reserve prices can put buyers off. So avoid using it especially in listings for lower value items.
