What is it?
For the entire day of Thursday 19th April 2007 (local UK time), sellers who list item(s) using the Auction-style, Auction-with-Buy It Now or Buy It Now Only (Fixed Price) formats in an eligible category, will pay a reduced 10 pence (£0.10) Insertion Fee per item they list. Please see below for more details.

When is it?
Thursday 19th April 2007 from 00:00:01 BST until 23:59:59 BST (promotional period).

What's included?
  • Only items listed in British Pounds Sterling on eBay.co.uk using the Auction-style, Auction-with-Buy It Now and Buy It Now Only (Fixed Price) formats are included.
  • Any item previously scheduled to go live on Thursday 19th April 2007 will be eligible for the promotion.
  • If you re-list an item on Thursday 19th April 2007 that had previously closed without a successful sale, the re-list will qualify for the promotion. If the re-listed item sells and is eligible under the eBay re-list policy, eBay will refund the Insertion Fee at the promotional price of 10 pence.
  • Items listed in the 'Parts & Accessories' sub category of the Cars, Parts & Vehicles category are included.
  • You can list items with any starting price to qualify for the promotion.
  • Items eligible for the promotion that also meet the eBay Express listing qualification rules will automatically appear on ebayexpress.co.uk as well as on ebay.co.uk
Please note: To sell using the Buy It Now Only (Fixed Price) format you must either have 10 or more feedback, or if you have a PayPal account, you need to have 5 or more feedback.

What's excluded?
  • Apart from the "Parts & Accessories" sub category as detailed in the "What's Included?" section above, all other items listed in any "Motors" categories are excluded from the promotion.
  • Items listed in the "Residential Property" sub category of the "Homes and Garden" category.
  • Items listed in the "Mobile Phones with Contract" sub category of the "Mobile & Home Phones category".
  • Items listed using the eBay Express Only format.
  • Multiple-Item listings in all formats. This includes both Auction-style (also known as Dutch Auctions) and Fixed Price formats. See the full details about Multiple-Item listings.
  • Identical listings that do not comply with our Duplicate Listings policy. See the full details about our Duplicate Listings policy.
  • Shops Inventory Format listings. See the full details about listing items in Shops Inventory Format.
  • Any item listed on Thursday 19th April 2007 but scheduled to start after the promotional period will NOT qualify for the promotion.
  • Any items listed which do not comply with our Listing Policies or Prohibited and restricted Items Policies.
  • Only the eBay Insertion Fee will be reduced to 10 pence. All other eBay selling fees will still apply, including but not limited to Final Value Fees, optional Reserve Price Fees and all Listing Upgrade Fees such as "Gallery", "Subtitle", "Bold" or "Highlight". Sellers listing using the Auction-with-Buy It Now format will still be charged the Listing Upgrade Fee for Buy It Now.

"Media" category specific pricing
  • Items listed in the "Media" categories (see below for a full list) using the Auction-style format with a starting price between £0.01 and £0.99 have a standard Insertion Fee of £0.05, and this Insertion Fee will remain unchanged during the promotional period. The Media categories are:

    1. the "Books, Comics & Magazines" category (excluding the "Accessories" sub category)
    2. the "DVD, Film and TV" category (excluding the "Accessories/Storage", "Film Memorabilia" and "TV Memorabilia" sub categories)
    3. the "Games" sub category of the "Video Games" category
    4. the "Music" category (excluding the "Music Memorabilia" and "Accessories/Storage" sub categories).

Further information
  • If the item is listed in 2 categories, the Insertion Fee will be 10 pence times 2 i.e. 20 pence.
  • If the item qualifies for the promotion, the "Sell Your Item" form will indicate to the seller that they have been charged the Insertion Fee of 10 pence.
