What is it?
For the entire period from 1st September 2007 until 31st December 2007 inclusive (local UK time), sellers who list an item in an eligible category (see below for details) using the Auction-style, Auction-with-Buy It Now or Buy It Now Only (Fixed Price) formats will be charged a reduced 5 pence (£0.05) fee for using the Gallery listing upgrade feature per item they list. The Gallery listing upgrade fee is normally priced at 15 pence per item listed using the above formats. Insertion Fees will remain unchanged.

When is it?
1st September 2007 from 00:00:01 BST until 31st December 2007 23:59:59 GMT (promotional period).

What's included?

  • Only items listed in British Pounds Sterling on eBay.co.uk using the Gallery listing upgrade feature are included.
  • If a seller schedules an eligible item to go live during the promotional period, the item will qualify for the promotion.
  • If a seller re-lists an item during the promotional period that had previously closed without a successful sale and uses the Gallery listing upgrade feature, the re-list will qualify for the promotion and the seller will be charged the reduced 5 pence fee. If the re-listed item sells and is eligible under the eBay re-list policy, eBay will refund the Insertion Fee, however, will not refund feature fees, such as the Gallery listing upgrade feature in this promotion.
  • Only items listed in the eligible categories outlined below will qualify for the promotion.
  • Sellers can list using Auction-style, Auction-with-Buy It Now or Buy It Now Only (Fixed Price) formats, at any starting price to qualify for the promotion.

What's excluded?

  • Items listed using the eBay Express Only format.
  • Identical listings that do not comply with our Duplicate Listings policy. See the full details about our Duplicate Listings policy.
  • Shops Inventory Format listings. See the full details about listing items in Shops Inventory Format.
  • Any item listed during the promotional period but scheduled to start after this period will NOT qualify for the promotion.
  • Any items listed which do not comply with our Listing Policies or Prohibited and restricted Items Policies.
  • Only the cost of the Gallery listing upgrade feature will be reduced to 5 pence. All other eBay selling fees will still apply, including but not limited to Insertion Fees, Final Value Fees, optional Reserve Price Fees, Auction-with-Buy It Now Listing Upgrade Fee and all other Listing Upgrade Fees such as "Subtitle", "Bold" or "Highlight". Further Information

  • If an item is listed in two eligible categories, the Gallery listing upgrade fee will be 5 pence times two i.e. 10 pence.
  • If an item is listed in two categories, one of which is eligible and one of which is not an eligible category, the seller will be charged 5 pence for the item listed in the eligible category and the full price (15 pence) for the item listed in the non-eligible category, i.e. a total of 20 pence.
