Terms and Conditions
What is it?
For the entire day of Wednesday 12th December 2007 (local UK time), sellers who list one or more items in an eligible category, with a listing duration of three days, using the Auction-style, Auction-with-Buy It Now or Buy It Now Only (Fixed Price) formats, and who offer PayPal as a payment option, will pay a 10 pence Insertion Fee for every item they list. Please see below for more details.
When is it?
Wednesday 12th December 2007 from 00:00:01 GMT until 23:59:59 GMT (promotional period).
What's included?
- Items listed in British Pounds Sterling in an eligible category on eBay.co.uk, with a listing duration of three days, using the Auction-style, Auction-with-Buy It Now or Buy It Now Only (Fixed Price) formats.
- Only items listed offering PayPal as a payment option.
- Sellers can list items with any starting price.
- Any item previously scheduled to go live on Wednesday 12th December 2007.
- If sellers re-list an item on Wednesday 12th December 2007 that had previously closed without a successful sale, if eligible, the re-listed item will be included. If the re-listed item sells and is eligible under the eBay re-list policy, eBay will refund the Insertion Fee at the promotional Insertion Fee price of 10 pence.
- Items listed in the ”Parts & Accessories” sub-categories of the Motors Category.
- Items listed in the Photography and Toys & Games categories.
What’s excluded?
- Apart from items listed in the “Parts & Accessories” sub-categories of the Motors Category (detailed in the “What's Included?” Section above), all items listed in any sub-categories of the Motors category.
- Items listed in the "Residential Property" sub-category of the "Home & Garden" category.
- Items listed in the "Mobile Phones with Contract" sub-category of the "Mobile & Home Phones" category.
- Items listed using the eBay Express Only format.
- Multiple-Item listings in all formats, including both Auction-style (also known as Dutch Auctions) and Fixed Price formats. See the full details about Multiple-Item listings.

- Shops Inventory Format listings. See the full details about listing items using the Shops Inventory Format.
- Any item listed on Wednesday 12th December 2007 but scheduled to start after the promotional period.
- Any items listed which do not comply with eBay’s Listing Policies or Prohibited and Restricted Items Policies
Category specific pricing
1. The “Media” categories
Items listed in the "Media" categories (see below for a full list) using the Auction-style format with a starting price of £0.99 pence or below have a standard Insertion Fee of £0.05, and this Insertion Fee will remain unchanged during the promotional period. The Media categories are:
i. the "Books, Comics & Magazines" category (excluding the "Accessories" sub category)
ii. the "DVD, Film and TV" category (excluding the "Accessories/Storage", "Film Memorabilia" and "TV Memorabilia" sub categories)
iii. the "Games" sub category of the "Video Games" category
iv. the "Music" category (excluding the "Music Memorabilia" and "Accessories/Storage" sub categories).

2. The Photography and Toys & Games categories
Items listed in the Photography and Toys & Games categories using the Auction-style, Auction-with-Buy It Now or Buy It Now Only (Fixed Price) formats with a starting price of £0.99 pence or below currently have an Insertion Fee of £0.05 (between 23rd October and 31st December 2007, terms and conditions apply), and this Insertion Fee will remain unchanged on 12 December 2007.

Further Information
- Only the basic eBay Insertion Fee will be 10 pence. All other eBay fees will still apply, including but not limited to Final Value Fees, optional Reserve Price Fees and all Listing Upgrade Fees such as "Gallery", "Subtitle", "Bold" or "Highlight". See the full details about eBay fees.
- Sellers listing using the Auction-with-Buy It Now format will still be charged the Listing Upgrade Fee for Buy It Now.
- If the item is listed in 2 eligible categories, the Insertion Fee will be 10 pence times two i.e. 20 pence.
- If a seller lists an item with a third party listing tool such as TurboLister, the seller will not be able to see that they have been charged the promotional price of 10 pence at the time they list their item. However, if that seller’s item qualifies for the promotion, the seller will see from the "My account" section of "My eBay" that the promotional fees have been applied to the item that they listed. Please note that the transaction does not have to be completed with PayPal in order to qualify.
