On Thursday 3rd November 2005 (local UK time), sellers listing in Auction-style format in an eligible category, will pay 5 pence (£0.05 GBP) insertion fee.

Thursday 3rd November 2005 between 00:00:01 GMT and 23:59:59 GMT

- Only listings in British Pounds Sterling on eBay.co.uk will qualify for the 5p insertion fees. All listings must be auction-style listings or auction-style with Buy It Now (but see below).
- Any item previously scheduled to go live on Thursday 3rd November 2005 will qualify for the 5 pence insertion fee promotion.
- If you re-list an item on Thursday 3rd November that had previously closed without a successful sale, it will qualify for the 5 pence insertion fee promotion.

- Any item listed with Fixed Price (Buy It Now) format
- Items listed in the Automotive (Cars, Classic Cars, Motorcycles or Other Vehicles) and Properties categories.
- Multiple-Item Listings (also known as Dutch Auctions).
- Identical listings that do not comply with our Duplicate Listings policy.
- Shops Inventory Format listings.
- Any item listed on 3rd November 2005 but scheduled to start after the promotion has finished will NOT qualify for the promotion.
- Only the basic eBay listing fee will be reduced to 5p. All other eBay selling fees will still apply, including but not limited to Final Value Fees, Optional Reserve Price fees and all listing upgrade fees such as Bold or Highlight. For full details see eBay fees.
- Members listing with the auction-style format but choosing to add the Buy It Now feature will still be charged the Listing Upgrade Fee for Buy It Now.

- If the item is listed in 2 categories, the insertion fee will be calculated as 5p multiplied by 2 ie, 10 pence.
- If you revise a qualifying listing created on 3rd November at a later date, you will be charged the normal insertion fee, NOT the 5 pence promotional fee.
- If the listing qualifies for this promotion, the "sell your item" form will show that a discounted insertion fee of 5p has been charged.
