Between the 20th and 22nd November list your items offering a free UK postage option and it will only cost you 5p for each item - with the Gallery Listing Upgrade available for free!
This promotion has been extended to include Wednesday 22nd November

We would like to apologise for any problems you may have had with the Free Postage Listing Days promotion yesterday. We are aware that you may not have been charged the special promotional price of 5 pence and that you may have incurred a fee to use the Gallery Listing Upgrade feature when you should not have for each eligible item you listed.

The problems have now been resolved. In recognition of the inconvenience caused, we would like to extend the promotion for a further day, to include Wednesday 22nd November.

Please rest assured that any extra fees you incurred for any eligible items that you have already listed during the promotion will be credited back to you within two weeks from the end of the promotional period.

Christmas is one of the most important seasons for sellers but competition for sales is tough. Try attracting more customers this Christmas by offering free postage (to any UK address) and you'll pay a reduced 5 pence Insertion Fee and will be able to use the Gallery Listing Upgrade feature for free for each item you list.

Free postage is used very successfully by many sellers on eBay as part of their selling strategy so why not take this opportunity of reduced costs to see how offering free postage could increase your sales and profits.

Remember that buyers can now search the eBay.co.uk site for items listed with free postage and during the week following the Free Postage Listing Days, there will be a dedicated free postage hub highlighting these items and how to search for them.

The promotion will also be advertised across the eBay.co.uk site, including the homepage, with extra email marketing going out to members.

Remember using the Gallery Listing Upgrade feature helps increase sales and during the promotion it's free for each eligible item you list so you've got nothing to lose.

  • This promotion includes items listed using the Auction-style, Auction-with-Buy It Now and Buy It Now Only (Fixed Price) formats but the Shops Inventory Format (SIF) is not included in the promotion.
  • When listing an item during the promotional period, sellers need to offer a genuine free postage option to all UK addresses to qualify for the promotion. If a seller offers a 'pick-up only' delivery option, their item will not qualify for the promotion.
  • Only the latest version of the "Sell Your Item" form will show the promotional fees that you will be charged. To start selling with the latest version click here. If you use the old version of the "Sell Your Item" form it will show that you have been charged the full Insertion Fee and Gallery Feature Fee. However, if your item is eligible, you will see from the "My account" section of "My eBay" that the promotional fees have been applied to the item you list.
  • All items listed during the promotional period will appear on the usual listing pages and in addition will be shown to members that conduct a 'free postage' search from the dedicated free postage hub.
