SIMPLE TO USE

We'll let you know when Click & Collect is added to your listings. When a Click & Collect order comes in, just prepare the order for dispatch as usual. The only difference is it'll be addressed to an Argos or Sainsbury's store, instead of the buyer's home address.

OVER 1000 COLLECTION POINTS ACROSS THE UK

During checkout, buyers can choose an Argos or selected Sainsbury's store where they'd like to collect their order. We'll send them a collection code by email or text message when it's ready.

DON'T FORGET YOUR UNIQUE IDENTIFIER CODE

When you print your usual postage label, we'll include a 6 digit unique identifier code in the second line of the delivery address. This is so Argos/Sainsbury's can identify your parcel and let the buyer know they can collect their order. If you hand-write labels or use a custom integration, make sure you still include this number. If you don't include the unique identifier code, Argos may dispose of the parcel when it arrives at the store and you could receive an 'item not received' strike.

Do I have to integrate my systems with Argos/Sainsbury's or a third-party listing provider?

No. Our technology manages the process and we work seamlessly with third party providers.

Will adding Click & Collect increase my listing visibility?

Offering Click & Collect may make your items surface higher in search results. Buyers can also search for listings that offer Click & Collect.

Can I opt out of this scheme?

In the unlikely event you don't want to offer a Click & Collect service for your buyers, you can opt-out from Site Preferences in My eBay. You can also edit individual listings if you only want to offer Click & Collect for certain listings. If you change your mind, you can always opt back in to offer Click & Collect.

How can buyers return Click & Collect items?

Items can't be returned to Argos stores and selected Sainsbury's stores, but buyers can return items directly to you according to your returns policy. The returns period - when buyers need to inform you that they want to return an item, starts as soon as the item arrives at the Argos store not when the item is collected.

What happens when a buyer does not collect an item?

You're responsible for getting the item to Argos. If the buyer doesn't collect the item after 7 days of it arriving at the Argos store, it will be returned to you at our expense. Once you receive the item back, you'll be prompted to issue a refund.

Do I need to change my carrier in order to be eligible?

No, we have now made all carriers eligible

How do I make sure my listing is eligible?

In order for Click & Collect to be added to your listings you need to have been opted in by us.

In order for your listing(s) to be eligible for Click & Collect:

  • Your item must be less than 20kg. No one side of the parcel can exceed 120cm and the second-longest side can't exceed 76cm, including packaging. If you sell items over these limits, make sure you've stated the weight and dimension in your listing in the 'Package details' section (not only in the item specifics) or opted out these listings. Any items that are too large will be rejected at Argos and possibly disposed of.
  • Click & Collect will not be added to listings that have a Best Offer option or are auction format.

What happens if I need to send an item with multiple parts?

Make sure you send any item with multiple parts in just one parcel where possible. This will minimize the risk of any part being rejected or lost, and will make it more straightforward for the customer to collect.
