Changes to eBay Buyer Protection

eBay Buyer Protection updated to cover more categories

From 1 April 2012, we're expanding the number of categories covered by eBay Buyer Protection, helping to increase confidence in buying on eBay. The following categories have been added:

  • Custom made items (delivered within 45 days)
  • Airline flight tickets
  • Licences
  • Anything equivalent to cash (including retail gift cards)
  • Gift certificates

From 1 April, buyers will be able to file a case under the eBay Buyer Protection Policy for items bought in these categories on eBay, and this could affect your seller status. If you have any open cases in these additional categories, try to resolve them now.
