By 3 May 2012, we will have made changes to categories and item specifics to make it easier and more intuitive for buyers to find what they're looking for. Prepare for the changes by familiarising yourself with the updates now.

We're making these changes, based on research and feedback from eBay buyers, to create a more intuitive marketplace. This brings eBay more in line with industry standard classification.
The new category structure is also better aligned with other eBay markets, helping to increase international trade opportunities.

We recommend that you use the item specifics suggested by eBay, as shown in your listing tool. However, if there's one that you want to add to describe your product, you can add a custom item specific.
