In the week beginning 7 May, we're introducing a sophisticated new buying experience, which will capture a buyer's vehicle details and provide personalised search results when a buyer is searching for Vehicle Parts & Accessories.

This will help buyers to find the exact parts that fit their cars quickly and easily, helping you to increase your sales.

We're introducing these enhancements in the first half of 2012 so make sure you're assigning compatible car models to your parts listings to benefit.

Add compatible car details to your listings now

Make sure you don't miss out on Vehicle Parts & Accessories sales, by assigning compatible car models to your parts listings. If you don't, buyers may not be able to locate your items using Find a part and My Vehicles and you'll risk losing sales.

Find a part on the eBay Motors home page

From the week beginning 7 May, when a buyer visits the eBay Motors home page, he or she will be able to find compatible parts quickly and easily by selecting key vehicle information such as vehicle make and model.

Saving multiple vehicles in My Vehicles

From the week beginning 14 May, buyers will be able to log in to the My Vehicles portal via the eBay Motors home page to quickly and easily define key vehicle information for multiple vehicles.

A buyer can then choose one of their saved vehicles from My Vehicles to quickly search for relevant Vehicle Parts & Accessories items. For example, a buyer can set a 2000 Volkswagen Golf as his or her default vehicle, but could also choose to add a 2009 Audi A4 as another saved vehicle.

Early August, buyers will be able to access My Vehicles directly from search results pages.

Free Gallery Plus and insertion fee increase

We recently made Gallery Plus free for all business sellers in the Vehicles category. This feature enlarges the photos that you add to your listings making it easy for buyers to see the detail of the item you're selling.

On 3 May 2012, there will be a small increase in insertion fees for auction-style and fixed price format listings in the Vehicles category from £8.00 to £10.00. This fee change will apply to all sellers.

Classified listings and listings from eBay Motors Pro sellers will not be affected by this change.

What you need to do
