What is eBay Selling Manager?
eBay Selling Manager is eBay's new sales management tool. It is an online tool in My eBay that helps you manage your listings throughout the sales cycle. As a seller, eBay Selling Manager will help you manage your listings more efficiently. You will be able to track your sales status and respond to your buyers faster than ever before.
What is a sales management tool?
A sales management tool lets you perform various tasks related to selling items and managing your listings, when they are active on eBay or after they have been sold. It will save you a lot of time, especially if you sell many items. It will also make you more efficient and more responsive to your buyers. eBay currently offers two sales management tools: Seller's Assistant Basic, and Seller's Assistant Pro.
Why is eBay producing a new sales management tool?
Some of the reasons we are creating this new sales management tool are:
· To offer powerful new features, such as like fully customisable email templates and efficient tracking of shipping, payment and feedback status.
· To improve the usability and reliability of eBay selling tools.
· To offer international listing and management capability with one selling tool.
Can I list items on eBay with eBay Selling Manager?
eBay Selling Manager is a sales management tool, not a listing tool. It enables smart and efficient sales management. It does not create listings. Instead, sellers can use Turbo Lister to create listings in bulk and use Selling Manager to manage them. Turbo Lister is free so try it. With Selling Manager, sellers may list items from active ones, reschedule pending listings, or relist items, but not create new listings.
As a seller, why should I use eBay Selling Manager?
eBay Selling Manager will help you manage your listings through the sales cycle in a smart, easy, and efficient way which will save you a lot of time. It will allow you to do the following:

How will I get eBay Selling Manager?
The eBay Selling Manager tool will be available for subscription from its home page. Once you are subscribed, it will appear in your My eBay Selling tab.
Which Web browsers will eBay Selling Manager support?
eBay Selling Manager will support Internet Explorer 4.0 and later versions, Netscape 3.0 and later versions as well as AOL 3.0 and later versions. Because it is an online tool, it will not have any operating systems dependency.
Which eBay sites will use eBay Selling Manager?
eBay Selling Manager will allow you to manage your items listed on all eBay sites, however you can only use eBay Selling Manager through the eBay site with which you subscribed. That is to say that sellers registering on www.eBay.co.uk will not be able to use Selling Manager in My eBay at www.eBay.com.
How much will it cost to use the eBay Selling Manager tool?

What if you are using Seller's Assistant Basic and want to try Selling Manager?
If you are a Seller's Assistant Basic user, we recommend that you upgrade to eBay Selling Manager as it is FREE to use. Selling Manager will soon replace Seller's Assistant Basic.
How is eBay Selling Manager different from Seller's Assistant Basic?
Seller's Assistant Basic is a desktop software program that creates and uploads eBay listings, as well as helps with sales management like tracking items, sending feedback, or emailing buyers.
eBay Selling Manager is an online tool in My eBay which allows you to easily manage your listings from beginning to end. You may list items from existing ones, reschedule pending listings, or relist items with Selling Manager, but you cannot create new listings. eBay Turbo Lister, our bulk listing tool, can be combined with Selling Manager to provide a complete listing and sales management system.
We created Selling Manager to improve your efficiency and experience when managing your listings. We wanted to offer some powerful new features you have been asking for, such as fully customisable email templates, real time efficient tracking of shipping and payment, and relisting your items in bulk.
What about listing efficiently?
Our new Turbo Lister bulk listing tool is the answer to that question. Turbo Lister is a free desktop software program that will create and upload eBay listings. Turbo Lister has many new features that will help you list even faster and better.

Why is eBay separating listing creation and sales management in two programs instead of one like SA Basic?
By using eBay Selling Manager in combination with Turbo Lister, you will not only create items faster and more effectively, but you will be able manage them in a more efficient way than was possible with Seller's Assistant Basic.
By creating two separate listing and sales management products we wanted to address all the functional, usability, and reliability issues that our Seller's Assistant Basic users have brought to our attention throughout the years. We also wanted to:

Give you the freedom to pick the listing tool of your choice. We wanted to make it easier not only for Turbo Lister but also Sell Your Item users to take advantage of Selling Manager's advanced features.

How will eBay Selling Manager impact Seller's Assistant Basic?
eBay Selling Manager will eventually replace Seller's Assistant Basic. All users of Seller's Assistant Basic are encouraged to switch to using Turbo Lister for creating bulk listings and Selling Manager for managing sales. eBay Turbo Lister will do everything Seller's Assistant Basic does for creating listings and more, while eBay Selling Manager will do everything Seller's Assistant Basic does for managing your sales and more.
We know change is a difficult process and does not happen overnight. To make the process of moving to these tools as smooth as possible for you, we are planning the following:

You can try Turbo Lister for FREE to start listing items in bulk. You can download Turbo Lister now.
Turbo Lister provides you with the ability to move your Seller's Assistant Basic saved items into Turbo Lister, so you won't have to re-enter information that you already have saved.
We will continue to support Seller's Assistant Basic until at least Spring 2003. This will give you some time to learn the new tool while still having Seller's Assistant Basic available.

How will eBay Selling Manager affect eBay Seller's Assistant Pro?
eBay Selling Manager will not affect Seller's Assistant Pro at this time. Seller's Assistant Pro will be available as usual. We do have plans for future enhancements to our premium selling tool, and we'll be announcing those plans in the coming months.
