You can compare before you check out
Instead of committing to buy an item before you check out, you can add more items to your eBay shopping basket so you can compare them and see the total amount before you pay. You can still also save and compare items in your watch list in My eBay.
You can pay several sellers with one payment
If you have items from different sellers in your eBay shopping basket, and they all accept the same payment method, such as PayPal, you can pay for all the items in your eBay shopping basket with one payment. You can also pay for your won auction or best offer items at the same time as other items in your eBay shopping basket.
You can also pay for items separately
If you prefer to purchase items from each seller separately, just hover over the seller's name, then click Pay only this seller. You can also save items for later and only pay for the items left in your eBay shopping basket, or click Buy It Now from the listing page to purchase individual items immediately.
You're not committed until you pay
When you add items to your eBay shopping basket, you won't be committed to buy these items until you check out and pay for your purchases.
Remember, even while they're in your eBay shopping basket, your items are still available for purchase by other buyers. Many items on eBay are available in limited quantities, so an item may sell out before you checkout.
If you opt to purchase an item with Buy It Now, you will be making a commitment to buy and pay for the item. In some cases, immediate payment with PayPal will be required.
You can keep track of items you've bid on and won
Some items will appear in your eBay shopping basket because you've committed to buy them, such as items won in auctions, with best offers or items you've committed to purchase with Buy It Now. These items will be saved in your eBay shopping basket until you pay for them.
You can save items and buy them later
You can always save items from your eBay shopping basket for later purchase, or watch them in My eBay. However, these items are not reserved for you, and may still be purchased by other buyers.
Items in your eBay shopping basket are not reserved
Most items in your eBay shopping basket will be available to other buyers until you pay for them. You can remove them from your basket at any time, with the exception of items that you've committed to buy, such as items you've won through auction-style listings, accepted best offers or committed to buy with Buy It Now. Remember, many items on eBay are available in limited quantities, so an item may sell out before you check out.
Items you've committed to buy
Some items will appear in your eBay shopping basket because you've committed to buy them, such as items won in auction-style listings, with best offer, or Buy It Now. These items will be saved in your eBay shopping basket until you pay for them.
Items that are "not available"
You may see some items in your eBay shopping basket that are "not available." This may occur because:
Paying for your purchases
If you're purchasing items from different sellers who have different payment requirements, you may be asked to pay for some items separately.
Paying for auction items
Items from auction-style listings can only be paid for after the listing has ended and you have won by placing the highest bid.
Buying from international sellers
Please allow for additional P& P time when you buy from international sellers.
If the price of the item is listed in a currency other than British pounds, you will not be able to add it to your eBay shopping basket. You'll need to check out and pay for each item separately.
How sellers send your purchases
If you're purchasing items from different sellers, you'll be getting your items in separate shipments, and possibly via different postage methods. Please review each listing to see estimated shipping and handling times.
If postage costs are not specified
If the item does not specify free postage or postage costs in your eBay shopping basket, or does not reflect discounts for combined postage costs of multiple items from the same seller, contact the seller and request an invoice.
If the seller does not post to your country
Some sellers may indicate that they will not post items to certain countries. If you still want to purchase the item, you will need to provide a different postage address.
