*eBay is matching donations made through Give at Checkout, community selling and purchases made from Capital Breakfast's eBay Challenge for Global’s Make Some Noise on eBay.co.uk until 23:59:59 on 7th October 2022, up to the value of £50,000. If the total value of customer donations does not reach £50,000 by 23:59:59 on 7th Octobwer 2022, then eBay may, at their discretion, choose to donate the remainder to Global’s Make Some Noise, so that eBay’s total donation will be up to £50,000.

**When you buy an item on eBay, you can donate £1, £2, £5 or £10 to Global’s Make Some Noise, through Give at Checkout. Give at Checkout is only available on web and Android.

What is Capital Breakfast’s eBay Challenge?

Capital Breakfast’s Roman Kemp, Sian Welby and Sonny Jay are taking on the ultimate selling challenge! They’ll be putting their entrepreneurial skills to the test by designing and selling their own products to raise money for Capital’s charity, Global’s Make Some Noise. Not only are they raising money for charity, but they will be competing to be crowned the winner and it’s up to you to choose the champion. Whoever sells the most, wins! You can choose from Roman’s t-shirt, Sonny’s loo roll or Sian’s wine cooler. So… pick your favourite product, add it to your basket and help support small charities across the UK.

How can I take part?

You can take part in fundraising for Make Some Noise when you buy an item from Capital Breakfast's eBay Challenge, sell an item and donate a % of your proceeds or by donating at checkout.

When you buy an item on eBay, you can donate £1, £2, £5 or £10 to Global’s Make Some Noise through Give at Checkout. Give at Checkout is only available on web and Android.

You can also sell an item on eBay and donate between 10-100% of the proceeds of your sale to Global’s Make Some Noise. When listing an item, click the ‘Donate a portion to charity’ box, select ‘Global’s Make Some Noise’ from the dropdown and pick your donation percentage before finalising your listing. You can then sell and post your item to your customer as usual; no additional steps are required.

Within a few weeks, and after the buyer has paid, our partners at PayPal Giving Fund will collect your donation via your automatic payment method or you’ll receive an invoice to pay your donations. PayPal Giving Fund will send your donation to your selected charity and will provide you with a donation receipt. eBay will also discount your Final Value Fees equal to the percentage you donated.

What sort of things can I sell?

You can donate part or all of your sale to charity when you sell on eBay. However, there are some limitations on what items or categories can be included in an eBay for Charity listing. For more information, see here.

When do I need to have donated by?

If you are adding a donation via Give at Checkout, ensure the transaction is completed by 23:59:59 on 7 October 2022.

If you are adding a donation via your sale on eBay (Community Selling), you must have completed your sale by 23:59:59 on 7 October 2022 for your donation to be matched by eBay, so be mindful of the duration of your auction listing. Any donation after this date will still be sent to Oxfam, as is the usual process with Community Selling, which you can do all year round.

What if I want to rescind my donation, cancel my sale or the buyer returns the item?

If you are adding a donation via Give at Checkout, ensure the transaction is completed by 23:59:59 on 7 October 2022.

It may be possible to rescind your donation via Community Selling. You can learn more about this, and what happens if a buyer doesn’t pay for the item, here.

If you have donated via Give at Checkout, your donation is non-refundable.

When will Global’s Make Some Noise receive the funds? 

Global’s Make Some Noise will receive your donation within 21 days of your sale completing, and after the buyer has paid. Our partners at PayPal Giving Fund will automatically send the donation to your selected charity and send you a donation receipt.

Global’s Make Some Noise’s Contract

By ordering goods from this website, you are deemed to have understood and accepted these terms. Your order represents an offer to Global’s Make Some Noise to purchase a product which is accepted by Global’s Make Some Noise when they despatch the product you have ordered and not before. Any products on the same order which we have not despatched to you do not form part of that contract. To place orders from Global’s Make Some Noise website, you must be 18 years old or over. You warrant that you are at least 18 years old and that you are legally capable of entering into binding contracts. Global’s Make Some Noise do not sell or make available products to children.

Ordering an item

If Global’s Make Some Noise cannot supply you with some or all of the items you have requested for any reason, Global’s Make Some Noise will contact you and, where payment has already been taken, Global’s Make Some Noise will refund you.

Global’s Make Some Noise may not be able to accept your order as a result of one of the following:

1. the product you ordered is out of stock;
2. Global’s Make Some Noise are unable to obtain authorisation for your payment;
3. Global’s Make Some Noise have identified a pricing or product description error;
4. you have asked Global’s Make Some Noise to deliver your order to a location where Capital do not offer delivery; or
5. you have attempted to use a voucher or special offer more times than is permitted, or in a fraudulent way.

If you wish to change your order at any time prior to despatch, please let Global’s Make Some Noise know as soon as possible. Global’s Make Some Noise will try their best to accommodate your request, but this may not always be possible. If Global’s Make Some Noise can’t make the change you require, Global’s Make Some Noise will give you the option to either proceed with the order without the changes, or to cancel the order in full or part.

Product Descriptions

Global’s Make Some Noise tries to ensure that all descriptions of Global’s Make Some Noise’s products are correct at the point of entry on Capital’s website. Whilst Global’s Make Some Noise endeavours to ensure the products are described accurately, sometimes there may be slight differences in size, colour and design. Global’s Make Some Noise reserves the right to refuse orders where product information has been mis-published, including prices and promotions.

Availability of Our Products

Global’s Make Some Noise tries to ensure that all items displayed are in stock and available to order. However, where items are temporarily unavailable for any reason, Global’s Make Some Noise will endeavour to indicate this.

Please note that Global’s Make Some Noise may withdraw items from sale or supply in the event Capital runs out of stock or for any other reason. Global’s Make Some Noise may do this at any time and without notice.

Price

The price of the product (which includes VAT) will be the price indicated on the order pages when you placed your order. Global’s Make Some Noise takes all reasonable care to ensure that the price of the product advised to you is correct.

However, it is always possible that, despite Global’s Make Some Noise’s best efforts, some of the products Global’s Make Some Noise sells may be incorrectly priced. Global’s Make Some Noise will normally check prices before accepting your order so that, where the product's correct price at your order date is less than Global’s Make Some Noise’s stated price at your order date, Global’s Make Some Noise will charge the lower amount. If the product's correct price at your order date is higher than the price stated to you, Global’s Make Some Noise will contact you for your instructions before Global’s Make Some Noise accepts your order. If Global’s Make Some Noise accepts and processes your order where a pricing error is obvious and unmistakeable and could reasonably have been recognised by you as a mispricing, Global’s Make Some Noise may end the contract, refund you any sums you have paid and require the return of any goods provided to you.

Delivery

Please note that it is estimated your item will ship 30 days after the sale closes. As these are bespoke items, unanticipated shipping delays may extend the ship time past this. If the buyer wishes to have a refund and the item has not shipped yet, it will be processed upon request and the order will be canceled.

Unfortunately, Global’s Make Some Noise are unable to deliver to countries outside of mainland UK.

Global’s Make Some Noise shall not be responsible to you for any delays in the delivery of products that are caused by events outside of Capital’s control. However, Global’s Make Some Noise will contact you as soon as possible to notify you of any such events, and Global’s Make Some Noise will try to minimise the effects of any delay.

The product(s) will be your responsibility from the time Global’s Make Some Noise delivers the product(s) to the address provided by you to Global’s Make Some Noise.

Unwanted products returned after 14 days

Global’s Make Some Noise doesn't accept returns for unwanted products after the 14 day returns period. If you try to make a return, Global’s Make Some Noise may have to send it back to you and ask you to cover the delivery costs.

Damaged, Faulty or Not as described Goods

You have a legal right to return any product that:

1. does not match the description on Global’s Make Some Noise’s eBay page;
2. is not fit for its intended purpose; or
3. is not of satisfactory quality.

You are entitled to a refund if you tell Global’s Make Some Noise this within 30 days of receipt of the product, or you may request a replacement product instead. In either case, you will need to return the product in question to Global’s Make Some Noise.

Your Personal Information

Global’s Make Some Noise uses the personal information you provide to Global’s Make Some Noise in order to supply the product(s) you have ordered to you and process your payment. Limited information, including your name, address and details of your order will be shared with MPH Enterprises Limited, Oaktree Business Park, Limewood Court, Leeds, LS14 1NF, Global’s Make Some Noise’s order fulfilment provider, in order to send you your order or to Dickenson Trading LTD 12 Ranelagh Drive, Sheffield, South Yorkshire, United Kingdom, S11 9HE

All personal data held by Global’s Make Some Noise or on our behalf is held in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Global’s Make Some Noise liability to you

Global’s Make Some Noise only supplies products for domestic and private use. You agree not to use products ordered from this website for any commercial, business or resale purposes, and therefore Global’s Make Some Noise shall have no liability to you for any loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption, or loss of business opportunity.

Governing law and Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the English courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction in all disputes arising out of these terms and any product(s) ordered from this website.

General

If a court finds any part of these terms unlawful or unenforceable for any reason, this shall not affect the rest of the terms which will remain valid and enforceable.

This contract is between you and Global’s Make Some Noise. Nobody else has any rights under or in respect of these terms.

Even if Global’s Make Some Noise delays enforcing any of these terms, Global’s Make Some Noise can still enforce them at a later time. If Global’s Make Some Noise does not insist immediately that you do anything you are required to do under these terms, or if Global’s Make Some Noise delays taking steps against you in respect of any breach, that will not mean that you do not have to do those things and it will not prevent Global’s Make Some Noise taking steps against you at a later date.

These terms and conditions do not in any way affect your statutory rights.
