Recommended web browsers

eBay is designed to work with most web browsers for PCs and Macs. We recommend you always use the current version of browsers to make sure our web pages display quickly, and that you have the latest security updates. If you use older browsers, you might notice that some functions and features you use on eBay will stop working as we make upgrades to the eBay site.

Recommended browsers

Here's a list of browsers we support and where to get them.

Operating system Recommended browser

Windows

Microsoft Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, or Google Chrome (latest versions)

Mac

Apple Safari, Mozilla Firefox (latest versions)

Note:

  • The Resolution Centre isn't compatible with the Google Chrome's translation service in Google Chrome.

  • If you have difficulties using a part of eBay, make sure you're using the latest version of one of the recommended browsers.

Browsers we don't support

Browsers we don't support include:

  • Netscape

  • Opera

  • Firefox 3.6.x and earlier on all platforms (we encourage you to upgrade to the latest version)

  • Microsoft IE 8 and earlier for Windows

  • Microsoft IE for Mac OS 9 and Mac OS X

  • Microsoft WebTV, MSN TV or MSN TV2

  • Safari 5.x and earlier on Mac OS X

  • Safari on Windows

  • AOL on Mac OS 9

  • All other unlisted browsers

When using eBay, please use the latest version of one of the recommended browsers. We don't recommend using customised browsers (for example, AOL customising Internet Explorer) because you may experience problems using eBay.
