eBay price guarantee
When your item qualifies for a price guarantee, you'll lock in a guaranteed selling price value for your item when you follow our listing recommendation and your item sells. This listing recommendation is based on the performance of similar items to yours that recently sold on eBay.
As long as you list with our recommendation, eBay promises that you will earn the guaranteed selling price if your item sells. If your item sells for less than the guaranteed selling price value, eBay will pay you the difference with an eBay voucher.
Terms & Conditions
- What is the Promotion?
- eBay will provide the seller with a guaranteed selling price for a qualifying device, displayed during the listing process and determined at the sole discretion of eBay("Guaranteed Price"). To be eligible for the eBay price guarantee you must create a listing using eBay Recommendations and the requirements set out in these terms (“Qualifying Listing”).
If a Qualifying Listing sells at a price that is less than the Guaranteed Price, you will receive an eBay voucher equal to the Guaranteed Price less the price at which the item sold.
- Where is it?
- eBay.co.uk
- Who is eligible?
- eBay.co.uk registered private sellers who have been offered a Guaranteed Price, created a listing through the use of a catalogue made available through eBay, and accepted the recommended starting price, format and duration provided by eBay upon listing ("eBay Recommendations") when creating a Qualifying Listing.
If you are selling an item eligible for a Guaranteed Price, you will see the offer during the listing process. To receive a voucher, a Qualifying Listing must sell at a price which is less than the Guaranteed Price.
The seller is not required to accept the eBay Recommendations to complete his/her listing, but sellers that do not accept the eBay Recommendations will not be eligible to participate in the Promotion.
- When is it?
- This Promotion will begin on Monday 22 February from 00:00:01, and will end at the discretion of eBay (“Promotion Period”). eBay reserves the right to make changes to the Promotion Period at any time at its sole discretion.
- How do I take part in the Promotion?
-
- A Qualifying Listing must include; (a) a correct title that accurately reflects the device being sold; (b) an accurate and up to date photograph of the device; (c) an accurate description of the condition of the device; (d) reasonable postage and packing costs that are the average, usual, and/or customary range for similar or identical devices. If postage and packaging costs are too high, you may be ineligible for the Promotion.
- Qualifying Listings must be in the Auction format.
- Qualifying Listings can only be made in the recommended category. For example, mobile phones must be listed in the Mobile and Smart Phones category (9355).
- Only sellers whose accounts meet the eBay minimum seller performance standards are eligible. Please sign in to My eBay and view your seller standards dashboard to verify whether your account is currently meeting the standards.
- If buyer pays through a non-PayPal payment method, then seller must mark payment as received on orders page in order for eBay to issue the voucher.
- You will receive a voucher within 30 days, if the Qualifying Listing sells at a price which is less than the Guaranteed Price. The selling price shall be deemed to be exclusive of any duties, postage and packaging costs and eBay fees that may be applicable.
- Insertion fees, final value fees and optional upgrade fees will be charged as normal.
- The voucher code and the voucher expiry date will be set out in the email along with the applicable voucher terms and conditions. The voucher code has no cash value and cannot be transferred.
