Please note that participating in these exclusive Pro-Trader Plus deals and promotions might involve additional fees and come with particular terms and conditions. While we strive to support your business, access to these promotions is subject to availability and not automatically included with program participation.

Programme participation, fees & commitment

How much does it cost to take part in eBay Pro-Trader Plus?  

Participation in the eBay Pro-Trader Plus support programme is £399 per month, exclusive of 20% VAT. 

How long does the eBay Pro-Trader Plus support programme last? 

The minimum commitment to eBay Pro-Trader Plus is three months starting from the first day of the next calendar month following your enrollment. At the end of three months you’ll be able to continue with the programme or cancel your subscription in Seller Portal. The eBay Pro-Trader Plus support programme doesn't have a set end date, but please note that participation is subject to the eBay Pro-Trader Plus Terms and Conditions.

What are the eligibility requirements to participate? 

You must:  

  • Be a UK business seller registered on eBay.co.uk 

  • Have at least Above Standard status (as defined in the Seller standards policy)  and maintain it at all times during your participation in the programme. 

  • Have achieved a reasonable Gross Merchandise Value (“GMV”*), as set by eBay, within the last calendar year or the 12 months prior to your participation request. For new sellers without a year's sales history on eBay, eligibility is based on eBay's projected GMV for your first year or upcoming 12 months. 

*GMV is the total value of all paid transactions between users on the site during the applicable period inclusive of shipping fees and taxes. 

What happens once I apply for eBay Pro-Trader Plus? 

Our team will review your application to check your eligibility and will get back to you with an update via email within three working days from your submission. If you’re eligible, we’ll then schedule a welcome conversation to discuss your enrollment date and take you through the first steps.

When and how will I be billed? 

You’ll be billed on the first day of the month after you join. For example, if you join on  the 27 July, you'll be billed on 1 August.

Why do I have to pay VAT on this subscription fee?  

As a VAT-registered UK business, eBay UK Ltd is obliged to charge VAT on services provided to UK resident sellers. This applies to both final value fees as well as subscription and other fees.  

Can I claim this VAT back?   

As a general principle, VAT charged by eBay on fees should be recoverable by a seller who is registered for VAT.  Further information can be obtained from HMRC either by contacting them directly or using the information available on the HMRC help pages.

Who should I contact if I have payment issues relating to eBay Pro-Trader Plus? 

Your eBay Pro-Trader Plus specialist will be your point of contact for any payment issues you may have. 

I have more than one selling account. Can I use one subscription for all my accounts? 

A single subscription to the eBay Pro-Trader Plus programme includes the account you enrol with and one further linked account.    

How do I opt out of eBay Pro-Trader Plus? 

You can end your participation after the initial three months by cancelling your subscription in Seller Portal. Following your cancellation, you’ll receive an email with your subscription’s end date, which will be 30 days from the date of cancellation.

What happens to the programme fee if I terminate my participation mid-month? 

If you decide to end your participation mid-month, unfortunately we’re unable to refund your programme fee for the month in which you submit your cancellation to eBay.

Can I be suspended from eBay Pro-Trader Plus? 

Sellers may be disqualified from eBay Pro-Trader Plus if they don't follow the programme's Terms and Conditions and/or eBay policies, fall below the Above Standard status, or if eBay ends the support programme.

If I get suspended from eBay Pro-Trader Plus can I sign back up in the future? 

Should you be disqualified from eBay Pro-Trader Plus, you can request to rejoin once you have again met the necessary eligibility criteria.

How often should I have calls with my specialist and how long will each call last? 

Your eBay Pro-Trader Plus specialist will tailor support to your business needs. At first, plan for at least one call per month lasting 30-45 minutes. Your specialist will adjust the length if necessary.

Can I get support from my specialist if I have a restriction?

If a restriction has been placed on your account, your eBay Pro-Trader Plus specialist will help you identify the issue and work towards a resolution.

Can I get negative feedback removed by my specialist? 

Your eBay Pro-Trader Plus specialist can’t remove feedback or defects. For such issues, please reach out to our Customer Service. 

How can I provide feedback on the eBay Pro-Trader Plus support programme? We're committed to a positive and rewarding eBay experience for you. Every three months, we'll send a satisfaction survey to gather your valuable feedback on our support programme and your overall experience, which helps us improve our services.
