Starting Oct 1, 2024, it is free to sell for UK-based private sellers. Sellers do not pay transaction fees when the item sells. This applies to all categories, except Vehicles (Cars, Motorcycles & Vehicles listings). You can list up to 300 items for free each month; after that, you'll pay 35p per listing. You may incur additional fees if you add optional upgrades to your listing, or if an item sells or ships to a buyer in a different country. Learn more about fees.

Yes! Local selling and buying is an important part of eBay. In fact, buyers can search for items with collection as an option. When creating your listing, you can offer 'collection in person'. Your buyer is then alerted during checkout if the item is collection only or if they have a choice between collection and delivery. Once the buyer pays, their confirmation email will include a collection code. Both seller and buyer are instructed to establish contact and arrange a time and place to meet, inspect the item, and exchange the collection code to complete the transaction.
