1. How do I redeem a voucher from the eBay Christmas vouchers page?

*You must use PayPal as your payment method in order to redeem any voucher from the eBay Christmas vouchers page.

Step 1: On the eBay Christmas vouchers page, click on the image or title of the item you are interested in. Copy the voucher code displayed by clicking it. The code will be automatically copied to your clipboard and you can paste it into the relevant field at checkout.

Step 2: Click ‘Buy It Now’ and go to the ‘Review your purchase’ page.

Step 3: On the ‘Review your purchase’ page, enter the voucher code at checkout in the ‘Redeem a voucher’ box.

If you can’t see this, the seller is using their own customised checkout system. Follow the instructions in step 3A, then proceed to step 4.

Step 3A: Proceed through the customised checkout until you log into PayPal. You will input the voucher code in PayPal and receive your discount at payment.

IMPORTANT: You may see boxes along the way asking you to fill in a promotional code. These are for merchant specific codes provided by the seller. Your eBay voucher will not work here. In this case, enter your voucher code only after you have logged into PayPal on the payment page.

Step 4: Choose PayPal as your payment method (required for all eBay vouchers) and log into your PayPal account.

Step 5: After logging into PayPal, look for the PayPal logo to ensure you are on the PayPal payment page. Enter your code in the redemption box, as shown in the illustrations below. In some cases, you will first need to click on the ‘Enter gift certificate, reward, or discount’ link to open the redemption box. See the red arrows below.

STEP 6: Click the Pay button and complete checkout.

2. Can I use these vouchers for any purchase on eBay? How do I know which voucher codes to use for which items?

The vouchers on the eBay Christmas vouchers page are only valid for the items on that page, unless otherwise indicated. Voucher codes are unique to specific sellers and items, so make sure you locate the right voucher for the item you want.

Click on the green voucher code displayed with the item and paste it into the redemption code box at checkout, where you will receive your discount.

7. Why can’t I see a price with the voucher discount included for certain items?

Some sellers have restrictions from manufacturers on how prices for their products may be displayed to buyers. Because the price with the voucher discount may be lower than the manufacturer’s ‘minimum advertised price’, the manufacturer won’t allow the discounted price to be displayed until you click the ‘Sign in to see price’ link.

8. Can I use the eBay search box to look for items specifically eligible for these vouchers?

No, unfortunately there is no way to filter for voucher items using the overall eBay site search. You can browse for voucher-eligible items using the categories on the left side of the eBay Christmas vouchers page.

9. Can I share these vouchers with friends?

Absolutely. The vouchers on the eBay Christmas vouchers page are available to all users who have a valid eBay account and who pay with PayPal.

10. What is the return policy for items purchased using vouchers?
