What sunnies are on your wishlist?

Sunglasses shopping is like the unofficial marker to the beginning of summer. They protect our peepers from the sun, hide damp hay feverish eyes and mask a multitude of late night festival sins. Festival time is upon us and no fashion loving fiend would dare be seen without the perfect pair of sunnies to keep the you looking cool while covering up.

Sunglasses for festivals are when frame shapes go louder, more abstract with take things to an extreme retro touch. This season offerings for SS14 has come up trumps with with a ton of new styles and shapes to add to your eyewear collection and experiment with.

Wayfarer Sunglasses are a classic style which comes around every year - I cant think of a time when they festival season where they haven't come back into fashion They are simple and easy to wear and suit almost all face shapes. Another classic option would be Cat Eye Sunglasses. They are a little trickier to pull off but add a vintage 50’s look worthy of any Hollywood screen siren of the day. Aviators aren't going anywhere either. The ideal fail safe style everyone can pull off. Ideal for that 70’s feel - which looks awesome with a pair of flared jeans and a crisp shirt. Think the Haim girls meets Top Gun.

Retro is in. What’s old is new and right now it can’t be cooler. Think throwback frames like blocky shaped sunglasses for a 80’s touch or heart shaped sunnies to give your look a flirty girly edge. Tinted lenses add a perfect hippie chic feel. There is something for everybody. Heck, Go really wild and opt for OTT patterned shades, bright bold frames and funky embellishments. Nothing says “I’m having fun” than a selfie in some crazy framed shades! From pineapples to shades worthy of Lady Gaga’s approval you’ll find something to tick the box.

Me? Well Im a round sunglasses girl all the way - I love the oversized bug eyed look. Bigger the rounder, the better. I have way more pair’s than I can count, I just think they are flattering and super cool. Plus they keep my hay fever eyes hidden! Although saying that I am partial to a bold frame or two, especially at a festival. I love the look of the over the top floral trimmed sunglasses for a cute, fun girly addition to a summer look. They are so hippy chic and would be perfect for Glastonbury!
