Shimmer cross strap heel

If there’s one time of year to go for gold, this is it. Meet your guilty pleasure. More muted glitter than gaudy gold, rewind your look to the '70s and work these platforms with a jumpsuit or trouser suit to make a stellar entrance every time.

Pointed toe high heels

Animal prints rank high in the forever fashion charts so why not play your wild card with a metallic overhaul? Slip them on with this season’s frock star - the little red dress - and a furry coat for a retro-fabulous party look.

Lucy mesh detail shoe

It is with sheer delight that we present these mesh beauties. The see-through panelling gives the stoic ankle boot an air of seduction, stepping it out of its daytime comfort zone into the night shift. Just wear with calf-skimming culottes or a column dress to show off your pins. An office party date if ever we saw one.

Red 'Taucia' zip high sandal

If Dorothy were around today she’d be swerving her ruby red slippers for these strapilicious lovelies. It’s all about foot cleavage right now and the cheery crimson hue will put you in the merry mood, too. Wear them with distressed jeans or a diaphanous gown. When to wear them? There’s no place like a house party!

Rhinestone-encrusted sandal

If bling ain’t your thing, how about something sparkly in between? These plum sandals are a chic compromise on understated glitz. Opulent and rich in colour, silhouette and embellishment, wear with a fuzzy knit, leather pencil skirt and fishnet tights for a grown-up gothic edge.

Lace-up gladiator stiletto

Everyone’s loving the lace-up sandal - even our very own columnist Millie Mackintosh is a fan of the high-maintenance heel. You might have to tie them but doesn't a bow turn something ordinary into a present? If you need an excuse, make them an early Christmas present to yourself and pair them up with everything in your wardrobe.
